Mayfair came to us with a view to expanding their client base beyond the wholesale market. As successful manufacturers of beauty accessories and equipment to the salon and barber trade they asked us to expand their reach by introducing their range to the retail market. At the same time they wanted to increase their wholesale reach by allowing salons and barbers to buy directly online.
We saw the solution to Mayfair’s problems as pretty straight forward. They needed a new Magento website with tiered pricing for different customer groups. Within the website itself we needed to show the quality of the product range; and so set up comparative lists showing the specifications of the Mayfair range against the leading competitors. With Mayfairs sell being based on price, we needed to prove to potential buyers that although they had low prices, the quality of their range was far superior to other branded lines.
The website has yet to be officially launched in line with a structured campaign. However, in order to increase the potential for new business we made the site live to support a trade event for salons and barbers across the UK. At the event, Mayfair launched their new line of human hair eyelashes using the website as a talking point for further information on the range. In the near future we’ll be officially launching Mayfair and will be posting the results here for all to see.
